- It needs to be de-pilled pretty bad.
- I think I want to add some embellishment on the front pockets.
Hydrangea Inspired Embroidery ✦
Today I sketched this little trio of blooms inspired by an insanely gorgeous hydrangea bush that’s right outside our house. Every day I eat lunch by a window that overlooks it— the way it’s changing colors this season is unbelievable. It must have been planted by a former tenant?
My botany-curious side really wants to learn what kind of hydrangea it is because I’ve never seen one quite like it. It has these mesmerizing ombres of blues, purples, pinks, greens, and browns within it. My rendition of it is a much simpler homage to the way it looks this fall. 🤎
Other Plans & Priorities ✦
The desire to urgently create is strong. I’d love to just quickly embroider this on my sweater today. I even know I’m capable of finishing it in one sitting, however, I made a “Responsibility Calendar” that I’m making myself follow. It has all the admin tasks I need to do for my life + fun events coming up this season + the crafting schedule I’m trying to stick to for gifts I want to accomplish before Christmas.
Importantly, today I need to go to AAA for much needed car-related duties, and I have other Christmas projects that have a higher priority, so this project will have to wait. And that feels so unsatisfying in this moment. But, “I’m forcing myself to be responsible with my time, which will ultimately feel better in the end” is what I’m telling myself.
